Pistoccu bread. The ancient Sardinian bread, the shepherd’s bread originally from the Ogliastra territory and central-eastern Sardinia. The pistoccu bread is a long-keeping product. It presents itself as a thin rectangular dough, it has more thickness to it compared to the carasau bread; it is perfect with soups, with lasagnas used in place of the pasta, or to be damped with water to be eaten with cold cuts and cheeses. Produced with whole semolina.
