From a blend of Carignano grapes, a local vineyard and Syrah grapes, it comes the fulfilled desire of the Capichera Winery to create an elegant and perfumed wine.
An IGT Isola dei Nuraghi. The goal of creating red wines that measure up to its white wine, has pushed Capichera to select through the years the most famous black berried grapes of Sardinia. In this manner, in 1997, Assajé is born: a blend of local grapes with a small percentage of Syrah. From the fulfilled desire of creating an elegant and perfumed wine that still stores strength, structure and identity. Assajé means “there’s something”. To the eyes it has a vivid red colour with purplish hues. To the nose it reveals a splendid fusion of ethereal and winy notes, we can perceive scent of black fruits, cherries, blackberries, myrtle, spices, eucalyptus, cocoa and briny scents. To the palate it has a sapid taste, full bodied, warm, with rich mature fruits and concentrated and fine tannic weaving; its finale is long and persistent. Ideal to be drunk as a meditating wine. In the magnum version it comes with its original wooden box.
