Respecting the tradition, an ancient art, patient and strict. A bright red coloured product, with an intense aroma and a strong flavour.

The great quality of the Monreale Saffron comes from the respect of the traditions and the care for the details. The saffron’s lilac flower have to be picked exclusively by hand every morning once they bloom, and then placed in small baskets in order to protect them and not suffocate them. From the flowers, three stigmas are also extracted by hand, and then left to naturally desiccate, on wood panels, just until they become the classic saffron red threads. It is a procedure that requires a high amount of time, ability and focusing.
